Reflections

For a little while now I've been kinda stressing out about various things that are going on around me. Like what is going to happen in the near future. Almost every day I've been hearing about all the job losses & financial problems due to the economy, etc. I've been thinking about my future. Like what's going to happen if the economy gets worse. What about all the various big events & happenings that will be taking place in my life in the next few years.
Lately I feel that God has been trying to teach me to trust in Him more, have a little more faith & learn to give all my worries to Him. I'll have to admit, that isn't always easy for me to do. However, there are things that I have no control over, but I have to put all of those things in God's hands. Besides it always turns out better when they are in God's hands instead of in mine. I've come to the conclusion that I cannot worry about what tomorrow has in store. I know that God has total control of my life & He knows what is best. Isn't it awesome to know that as Christians, our God is much bigger than any of our problems & we can lay it all in His hands!

My Hobby

Ok, so we've all taken these surveys or quizzes that ask what our hobby is, well recently I discovered that I really do have a hobby! :) I enjoy decorating cakes! Over the years I've had a few of my friends have got me interested in cake decorating & they've kinda given me a few tips along the way. One of these days I think it would be so much fun to take a cake decorating class, or even work in a bakery.

Until this week I've only done cakes for my family. This week I was priveledged to make a cake for a friend at our church. She just turned 17 today & she's on a basketball team at school, so her mom wanted a basketball looking cake. After some thought & ideas from various people, this is what we came up with. Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHELL! Hope you had a great day & hope you enjoyed the cake as much (or more) as I did making it for you!

For anatomy/physiology class each of the students had to build muscles, etc. out of clay & place them on a manikin. This one isn't perfect, but it gives a little glimpse of some of what we did in class.

I'm still here...

It's been a few weeks since my last post, so I decided to do a little update. ;) It has been quite busy around here lately. Right now is kind of cram time at school trying to study for finals, etc. I have 3 more tests & I'll be finished with anatomy/physiology class! I also found out that I won't be starting full time classes until March 23 due to new building construction, etc. I've also been able to put a few extra hours in at work lately, which has been kind of nice. :)
We had a nice Valentine's Day. I'm so blessed to have so many friends & loved ones in my life! Hope each of you had a nice Valentine's Day as well! :)
