~A dAy In OuR yArD~

Any of you had those various outdoor tasks that needed done, but you just haven't had the chance or the help to get them done? Well today my mom & I finally decided to tackle those chores. :) By the time we were finished cleaning the garage/family room & cleaning up the yard, our place looked quite nice! mY sUmMeR sO fAr

So, this summer has been interesting so far. I moved back to my parent's the end of May after spending a week in Haiti with Jonathan. The end of June & first of July we took at family trip to Indiana & Michigan to spend time with family.
In Indiana we spent a few days with my dad's side of the family. Everyone except for my brother Ben were there at the family reunion. It was so good to see everyone especially my cousin Lacy & her two little girls. Her two little girls are really adorable & the youngest came to me right away when she saw me. (Awe...) Yeah, we basically just spent time at my aunt & uncle's house swimming, talking & having a cookout. It was so much fun!!
In Michigan we were able to spend the 4th of July with my mom's side of the family. We went down near aunt Sharon's cabin & pond & basically camped out. My grandparents brought their fifth wheel down & My sister, cousin & I put up a tent to sleep in. It was so much fun spending time with my mom's family. I'll have to say tho', that it was quite cold while we were in Michigan...lol. On the 4th uncle Roger & grandpa put off fireworks in the nearby field. They did a great job!
Unfortunately, we couldn't stay longer than a week, but hopefully we'll be able to go back next summer & spend time with our family!

Recent Happenings

Ok....This week has been very interesting with...let's say...lots of excitement...lol. Let's just say my dad has lost his keys like so many times in the last few days....which is actually kinda funny for some of us, but frustrating for him. Then he had car trouble today. We've had more excitement than that lately, but that is some of what has been happening around here...lol.

Some good things have been happening too. My grandparents (Rauschenberger's) are visiting. It's been good having them here with us! Also today is my mom's birthday. I'd rather not say her age...lol. Let's just say she's not old yet tho'. LOL My sister, Brooke, & I made her this really neat cake. It was 3 tiered & since mom likes birds & bird houses we decided to have a bird, bird house & garden themed cake. It turned out real nice! So just a shout out for mom...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

We're Engaged!

So, Jonathan & I are officially engaged! Wow! It amazes me how God works! I met Jonathan when I was 10 & he was 12. We were just good friends back then who used to play freeze tag & such games in the backyard. If anyone would have told me back then that Jonathan & I would be together today, I probably wouldn't have believed them. I feel so lucky to have him in my life & I cannot wait for what God has planned for our future together!

We will have kinda of a long engagement because I need to finish nursing school before we marry. I will be posting pictures soon. However, engagement pictures will not be taken until the next time that Jonathan & I are together.
