Church Cookout

Our church had a cookout yesterday so that everyone would have a chance to see the parsonage since it has been redone inside. We had quite a good gathering of people & we had a good time getting to know them better & just being able to fellowship together. We were really thankful for the good weather too! It was supposed to rain, but it didn't at our house. :)

More Backyard Pictures

Wow! It has been awhile since I last updated my blog. Lots have been going on since my last post. My family & I have been working on the backyard because we will be having a parsonage cookout here at our house soon. I haven't had the chance to take pictures of our new porch & freshly painted shed, but I will soon. :)
I have also started an online class since my last update! I'm so glad to finally be taking classes once again! It's just another stretch toward that nursing degree :P. With my sister & I now back in school, things around the house have a slightly different schedule, which in ways has been nice. :)
It has also been so awesome to see how God has been working these past few weeks in Jonathan's life & also in mine! Just even in the little things in life I have seen His hand at work! I'm so thankful for all that God has done for me & I feel incredibly blessed!

**Thoughts**

I was talking to a friend today about some things & since then I've really been thinking. For me, sometimes I have wondered why things did not happen when I though they would or when I wanted them to. For example with my schooling, I have wondered why it has taken me so long to be able to begin & finish. I believe God has a plan for making things happen when they do, but sometimes I catch myself asking why didn't such & such happen at a particular time. The past few weeks & months I have realized that God's timing is always best & his timing is always perfect. I have come to the conclusion that I just have to pray for patience & understanding while waiting on God's perfect time.

Ok.....so many of you know that I have kinda had a hard time with school. Well, I'm finally signed up for some classes that start this fall! I'm so excited....(can you tell lol)! I thank God for opening the doors for me to get back into school! Now I just have to wait to see about getting off the waiting list & actually getting into the nursing program, but I know God will work things out according to his will....I just have to be patient with whatever his will is.
